Subject:
Clarification for ages 50 & over

Comments:
In my previous submission (10 March) I proposed that the more hours one officially works, the earlier he/she retires, thus not putting everyone in the same bucket. However, my last sentence, when I said that it does not apply vis-a-vis age, may be misunderstood. I meant to say that workers should be categorized on certain criterias such as number of hours worked, but not simply on the basis of age. Just because you are over 50 should not exempt you from early retirement (at 61) because everyone will eventually (and hopefully) turn 50 someday ! On the other hand, if you are already 50 and worked for so much number of hours, I see nothing wrong in retiring relatively earlier than someone who has worked less hours.
